Advanced Recurring Reminders

Easily set recurring reminders for repeated personal tasks.

Any.do's Premium users have full control over their schedules, and can plan recurring tasks, to repeat at different intervals, per their preference. These advanced features include being able to choose the date on which the repetition ends, the amount of repetitions for each reminder and much more. 🛠️ How does it work?

  • This unique feature, allows you to easily choose the amount of days/ weeks/ months / years between each reminder.

  • The recurring reminders can only be set from task-menu only and not through quick add.

  • If there is already a reminder set for the task the old reminder will need to be removed in order to set a recurring reminder.

  • Easily plan the dates when the reminders will start and end.

  • Easily set the duration in which the reminder will go off.


🔄 To set an Advanced Recurring Reminder

📱💻 Android/ iOS/ Web/ Desktop

  1. Select the task to open its Task Menu.

  2. If the task already has a one-time reminder setup tap the Delete option in order to remove it.

  3. Under ‘Remind Me’ choose ‘Recurring/ Repeat’

  4. Choose the repeat option to set recurring tasks: Daily / weekly / Monthly / Yearly.

  5. Tap on "Starts on" to choose the start time. Click "ok" to save.

  6. Tap on "Repeat every" to choose the frequency for your recurring reminder. Click "Set" to save.

  7. Choose the end time for the recurrence- by toggling off "Task never ends", and selecting the end date ("Ends on") or total number of repetitions ("Ends after"). When "Task never ends" is toggled on, the reminders will continue to appear until they are deleted.

  8. Click "Save" to save the reminder.


⚙️ Advanced Recurrence Options


📆 Daily advanced recurrence options

By setting an Advanced Daily reminder, you can set it to repeat on a daily basis, or in fixed intervals (1-30 days between each reminder).

  1. Choose the "Daily" repeat option.

  2. Edit the "Starts on" date and time for your reminder.

  3. Set the reminder to repeat in intervals using the "Repeats every" option.

  4. Select when the repetition will stop by toggling off "Tasks never ends", and setting the Ends on/ Ends after.

📆 Weekly advanced recurrence options

By setting an Advanced Weekly reminder, you can decide on which days each week the reminder will repeat and the intervals per number of weeks. You can choose to apply only one of these settings, or both.

To set an Advanced Recurring Reminder for a specific day of the week

  1. Choose the "Weekly" recurrence option.

  2. Under "Repeats on", choose the specific day(s) for the reminder.

  3. Select when the repetition will stop by toggling off "Tasks never ends", and setting the Ends on/ Ends after.

To set an Advanced recurring reminder every other week

  1. Choose the "Weekly" recurrence option.

  2. Under "Repeat every", choose "2 weeks".

  3. Select when the repetition will stop by toggling off "Tasks never ends", and setting the Ends on/ Ends after.

📆 Monthly advanced recurrence options

To set an Advanced recurring reminder for a specific day of the month

  1. Choose the "Monthly" recurrence option.

  2. Under "Repeat by", choose "Day of the month". You can also set the reminder for 'Once a month, on every first Sunday' (or similar), by choosing "Day of the week" on this option.

  3. Select when the repetition will stop by toggling off "Tasks never ends", and setting the Ends on/ Ends after.

📆 Yearly advanced recurrence options

To set an Advanced recurring reminder for a specific day of the Year

  1. Choose the "Yearly" recurrence option.

  2. Under "Repeat every", choose if you want to repeat every year or every X amount of years.

  3. Select when the repetition will stop by toggling off "Tasks never ends", and setting the Ends on/ Ends after.


✍️ To edit an Advanced Recurring Reminder

📱💻 Android/ iOS/ Web/ Desktop

  1. Select the task to open its Task Menu.

  2. Tap on your current reminder to open the date and time screen. Note: a pop-up will appear, asking if you would like to edit the current reminder only, or all recurrences.

  3. Modify your reminder per your preference

  4. Click "Save" to save.


❌ To delete an Advanced Recurring Reminder

📱💻 Android/ iOS/ Web/ Desktop

  1. Select the task to open its Task Menu.

  2. Tap on "Delete" next to "Remind me about this", or tap on the current reminder settings, then tap on the trash icon or clear to reset the reminder.
