The Web/Desktop is the only platform in which you can manually edit your task time settings, set your time zone and date format.

  1. Go to Settings, click on the setting\profile image icon.

  2. Click on 'Time Settings'.

  3. Change the settings for 'Time Formate, 'Date Settings' and 'Week starts on' according to your locale date and time.


⏰ Changing time settings

Set or adjust your time zone to ensure all your tasks and reminders are accurately timed, keeping your schedule consistent. By default, the time and date are set by the general time and date settings of each of your devices. You can choose to change these settings manually in the web/desktop apps and via the native settings in the mobile apps:

On the mobile apps, users are welcome to choose from a selection of minimalist color-themes. This adds a personal touch and can make the app more visually appealing to match your personal style. By default, the theme will match your device's settings (light/dark) but you can opt for different colors by turning off the dark mode and setting a specific theme of your choosing:

🏁 My week starts on Monday but I want it to start on a different day

You can set the first day of the week to Sat/Sun/Mon/ per your preference and as explained right here.

🌌 I want the app to open a specific screen when I launch it

No problem, you can choose your default view (list, calendar, etc.) in the app’s settings as explained here.

🈳 Can I change the app's language to my native language?

πŸ•‘ The app's time zone is different than my local time

The app syncs your native device's time preferences. You can set or change your time zone from the device settings (or through the app on Web/desktop) to ensure accurate scheduling. For more details, see here.

While there's no option to create a custom background, Any.do does offer a large variety of background on web/desktop and several color-themes to choose from (on mobile). For details see here.

The Default List setting applies only to creating new tasks through the collective views (7 Days/All Tasks). The personal-list to which new tasks will be added (unless specifically chosen otherwise) would be the default list.

Enable this feature in settings to quickly remove completed tasks from your lists by shaking your device.

πŸŽ™οΈ Can I set my own sound for reminders?

Not at this time. However, the app offers a wide variety of sounds to choose from as detailed here.

This settings applies only to the Android widget. All other views in the main app will still show the completed (swiped) tasks even if enabled.

🈳 Why can't I see my languages in the app's settings options?

While we offer a wide variety of languages on our web/desktop and mobile apps, there are still languages which have not been added to our platforms yet. If you want to see your language added, you may suggest it on our UserVoice page as detailed here.

🈳 I opted to translate the app but it's still showing some English strings (not completely translated).
