Activity, Chat & Mentions (Boards & Tasks)

Keep everyone on the same page. Track changes, talk in context, and @mention teammates right from your tasks.

Updated in the last 15 minutes

Think of Activity as your change log: who moved a task, changed a due date, updated a status, or marked it done. Chat is the conversation thread that lives inside each task, so decisions never get lost in DMs. Mentions make sure the right people are notified.

🗣️ Mention teammates and notify them

Use mentions to make sure the right people see your message.

  • Type @name to notify a specific person.

  • Type @Everyone to notify all board members.

  • Type @Assignees to notify the people assigned to that task.

Tip: Pair your mention with a clear ask, for example: “@Leah please review copy by today.”

🔔 Notifications at a glance

  • When you mention someone (or use @Everyone / @Assignees): they receive an in‑app notification and an email notification.

  • Comments without a mention create an in‑app notification only.

  • You can always review changes in Task Activity or Board Activity to see updates like status changes, completions and due date edits.

  • Want updates where your team already works? Connect Slack or WhatsApp so mentions and task updates can reach you there too: Slack integration · WhatsApp integration

🔎 Best practices

  • Keep threads tight: One topic per comment helps teammates act quickly.

  • Summarize decisions: Add a short “Decision:” line so history stays useful.

  • Use mentions sparingly: Prefer @Assignees for action, @Everyone for announcements.

  • Export when closing projects: Save Board Activity for audits and post‑mortems.
