Marking tasks as complete and archiving them helps you track progress while keeping your personal space clean and focused. Any.do uses a multi-step process: complete, archive, then delete - so you can review finished tasks before fully removing them. This guide walks you through how to complete, archive, and properly clear out old tasks, while avoiding performance issues caused by unnecessary clutter.

Completed tasks will appear as swiped in your active task-list. They remain visible until you manually archive or delete them, allowing for easy review or reactivation. We recommend marking tasks as completed when you're done with them. This helps declutter your active task view and allow for optimal performance.

π§Ή Routine Cleanup: Exporting and Deleting Archived Tasks
Any.do was not designed for long-term data storage. If your Archived Tasks folder holds hundreds of items, you may experience sync delays, task loading issues, or performance lags, especially on mobile.
To keep your account running smoothly, we strongly recommend periodically cleaning up your archived tasks:

You can back up your completed tasks before deleting them:
Go to Archived Tasks on the Web app
