π‘οΈ How Any.do protects your data
Here is what happens behind the scenes to keep your information safe.
Your data is tied to your account, not to a single device. This is what enables sync and cloud backup.
Data is encrypted in transit (when syncing between your device and Any.do).
Your data is stored securely on Any.doβs servers so you can restore it by signing in again.
Tip: If you want to confirm your account is syncing correctly, see How to sync and back up your Any.do account.
π Sign-in safety and account verification (2FA)
These are the best practices that prevent most account access issues.
β Use the same sign-in method every time
Any.do accounts can be created using Email, Google, Facebook, or Apple. To access the same account, you need to keep using the same sign-in method you used when registering.
If your account looks empty after logging in, it usually means you signed in with a different email or a different provider.
π§Ύ Sign-in verification
Any.do will ask you to confirm any new sign-in session with a 2FA code (for example, when logging in on a new device). To complete the verification safely:
Make sure the verification email is coming from Any.do
Never share verification codes with anyone
Copy the code you received to the log-in screen.
If you are not receiving the email, contact our Support Team for assistance.
π¨ What to do if you suspect unauthorized access
If you think someone may have accessed your account, take these steps right away.
Reset your Any.do password using this guide.
Secure your email account (change your email password and enable your email providerβs security tools).
Review devices and sessions on your sign-in provider (Google, Apple, or Facebook) if you used one.
Contact Support so we can help verify what happened.
𧩠Privacy in Any.do: personal tasks vs shared spaces
This section explains what other people can (and cannot) see.
Your Personal space is private by default.
In Family and Workspace, anything you add to a shared board can be visible to other board members.
Your personal tasks and lists are not automatically shared with Family or Workspace members.
If you need help understanding spaces, see Any.do Subscription Plans Explained.
π§Ή Account deletion and data deletion requests
If there is any issue with your account that is preventing you from enjoying the app, we recommend contacting our Support Team first so we can help. You can reach us from the in-app Settings β Support, from the Help Center widget, or via the Any.do Contact Form.
Note: Canceling a subscription is not the same as deleting your account.
If you have an active subscription, cancel it before deleting your account to avoid future charges. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription and does not automatically issue a refund.
β Account deletion
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

π Data requests (GDPR)
If you would like a copy of your data based on GDPR guidelines, contact our Support Team directly from your Any.do account using Settings β Support, or via the Any.do Contact Form. Our team will usually process the request within 4-5 business days.
ποΈ Data deletion (GDPR)
To have your data removed from our servers, email [email protected] directly from the email address connected to your Any.do account. Data deletion is irreversible and there is no option to retrieve this data once removed.
For privacy and security reasons:
We can only process requests submitted by the owner of the account.
After the request is reviewed, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to log into your account and confirm the deletion request.
You must be able to log into the account to complete this action.
π§ Managing app permissions
Permissions control what your device allows Any.do to access.
Common examples include:
Notifications (to deliver reminders)
Calendar access (only if you connect a calendar integration)
Photos or files (only if you attach files)
If you want to review or change permissions, you can do it from your device settings at any time. For more details, see Managing app permissions in Any.do.
