Easily assign members to tasks

Board members are able to collaborate on different tasks throughout the board’s sections. If you want a member to take ownership of a task you can easily assign them to it from the Task’s menu. Furthermore, whenever creating checklists for your tasks, different items within your checklist can be assigned to different people, regardless of the original task owner(s). Item owners can also be mentioned in the task’s activity for progress updates or brainstorming.

🛠️ How does it work?

  • You can assign a task to any of your board members

  • You can assign a checklist to any board member (regardless of the task's owner)

  • You can assign multiple members to a single item

  • You can mention users through the task's Activity tab to tag them for response

  • Once a member has been mentioned they will get a board notification


✅ How to assign/remove member(s) to a task

💻 Web/ Windows/ Mac

  1. Open a task and press

  2. Assign or open the 3 dots menu and press the Assign icon.

  3. Check the member\s.

  4. Press "Save".

📱 iOS/ Android

  1. Open a task and press the Assign icon.

  2. Check the member\s.

  3. Swipe down to save.


❌ To remove member(s) from a task

💻 Web/ Windows/ Mac

  1. Open a task and press Assign or open the 3 dots menu and press the Assign icon.

  2. Uncheck the member\s.

  3. Press "Save".

📱 Android/ iOS

  1. Open a task and press the Assign icon.

  2. Uncheck the member.

  3. Swipe down to save.

  1. Open a task.

  2. Press on the 3 dots menu next to the checklist item

  3. Press the Assign icon.

  4. Select member.

  1. Open a task.

  2. Press the checklist item

  3. Press on the assign icon on the right.

  4. Select member.


❌ How to remove member(s) from a checklist item

💻 Web/ Windows/ Mac

  1. Press on the member image\ icon or the 3 dots menu next to the checklist item and press the Assign icon.

  2. Uncheck the member\s.

  3. Press "Save".

📱 iOS/ Android

  1. Press the checklist item

  2. Press on the assign icon on the right or the member's image\ icon.

  3. Uncheck the member\s.


🗣️ How to mention a member in a task

💻 Web/ Windows/ Mac

  1. Open a task and press the chat and activity icon or open the 3 dots menu and press the “Comment” icon.

  2. Use the @ option on the keyboard and type in the members name.

  3. Select the members you want to mention.

📱 Android/ iOS

  1. Open the chat and activity icon or swipe to the right.

  2. Use the @ option on the keyboard and type in the members name.

  3. Select the members you want to mention.

The other user will get a board notification of the mention and will be able to respond.

Note: You can use @Everyone to notify all members of the board and @Assignees to notify the members assigned to the specific task.
