Color Tags for Personal Tasks

Prioritize your personal tasks with custom color tags.

Any.do's Color Tags is a feature designed to help users organize and prioritize their tasks. When using this feature, users can create their own unique priority levels and custom flows, as well as conveniently view items per each unique Color Tag.

Availability:

  • Personal users (free) - with certain restrictions, see below.

  • Premium users.

  • Family users.

  • Teams users.

  • Supported on all platforms.


πŸ› οΈ How does it work?

  • Adding and removing tags is easy, simply select a task, choose the tag icon, and the Tag menu will open up.

  • From this menu, you can do much more than adding and removing color tags, you can create new tags, edit tags, and delete tags.

  • Tags can be applied to standard tasks only.

  • Personal (free) users can apply the yellow Priority tag to as many tasks as they wish.

  • Premium and Teams users can create as many custom tags as they want with different colors and labels.


βœ… To add an existing tag to a task

  1. Select a task

  2. Tap

  3. Check the tags you wish to add or use the search box to find a specific one.

  4. Tap 'Save'.

Note: Standard users are able to use the Priority tag only. Premium users can create and add as many custom tags as they wish.


πŸ†• To create a new color-tag

  1. Select a task

  2. Tap

  3. Choose the 'Add New Tag' option at the bottom of the screen.

  4. Enter your tag's title and select an associated color.

πŸ’‘ Note: Android users can also create tags from the app's Settings menu => Tasks => Color Tags.


✏️ To edit/ delete a tag

  1. Select a task

  2. Tap

  3. Tap on the icon next to the specific tag you wish to edit

  4. You will then have the option to change the title of the tag, alter its color, delete the tag, or remove the tag from the task.

πŸ’‘ Note that deleting a tag will remove it from all associated tasks. The Priority yellow tag cannot be edited or removed.

Note: Android users can also edit/delete tags from the app's Settings menu => Tasks => Color Tags.


πŸ” To filter your list by tag

πŸ“± Android/ iOS

  1. Open the Task View.

  2. Tap on the 3 dots icon for the top right corner.

  3. Tap on

  4. Select the tags.

  5. Tap β€œapply” to save.

OR

  1. Open the Task View.

  2. Enter the Grid View by tapping the home button on the bottom left corner of the Tasks View.

  3. Tap on the top search icon and under pick the tag you want to see.

πŸ’» Web/ Windows/ Mac

For users who don't have a workspace, you can open the Tag view on the left side panel and select the tag you would like your tasks filtered by.

Or type in the tag name from the universal search option, this method is a great solution for users who have a workspace and do not have the tag views.
