Finding a specific section of your board no longer relevant? Done with a Space task and no longer need it on display? Or simply finished working on a specific board? Just archive those items to remove them from your board so that you can focus only on the things that require your attention. Don't worry - you can easily restore these items if you need to.
Availability
The following user-types can take advantage of this feature:
Teams users - admins and members (with some restrictions, see below).
Family users - admins and members (with some restrictions, see below).
The feature is available on both our mobile and web/desktop apps (with some exceptions as described below).
π οΈ How does it work?
Board-tasks can be archived from the quick-action menu or via the main task-view.
Sections can be archived from the board's menu.
You can recover any archived workspace tasks or sections from the archive-menu.
Board members except for viewers and external users can archive tasks and sections.
Only board admins can archive a board.

If an item in your board is no longer relevant, you can easily archive it to remove it from your active views. These items will still be available for viewing in the Archived section of your board(s) and can be easily restored as needed.

You can either:
Open the task and press the archive icon to archive it OR
Press the 3 dot menu (quick-actions) next to the task title and click on the archive icon.
To restore it:
Press the 3 dot menu (quick-actions) next to the task title.
Click on "view archived items".
Click on the "tasks" tab and press the 3 dots on the right and select bring back to board.
Note: At this time the restore feature is on the web version only.

If one of your board-sections is no longer serving you, you can easily archive it to remove it from your active view. These sections will still be available for viewing in the Archived section of your board(s) and can be easily restored as needed.

Your archived board-tasks and board-sections will be available for viewing and restoring right within your boards' Archived section. You can also search for specific items if needed.

Open a board.
If the due date is red it means the task is overdue (the due date has passed)
β How to delete archived board item
If an item was removed from your boards, you can choose to also remove it from the Activity section which will completely delete it from your account and from all shared members' views. For instructions, see below:
π‘ Note: This action can only be applied through the web/desktop apps but will sync on all platforms.
Note: This action is irreversible.
π How to delete an entire board
If an entire board is no longer relevant for your work, you may easily remove it from your space. Be advised though that this action is irreversible and can only be done by the admin of that board.
Note: Deleting a board is irreversible (there is no option to restore an archived board). This is also mentioned in the archiving-screen before confirming this action.
