πŸ‘€ Board display options

Board display options let you view the same board tasks in different layouts, depending on what you’re trying to do right now, track progress, review details, or plan by dates.

You can switch views anytime, and your tasks stay the same. Only the way they are displayed changes.

πŸ” How to switch board views (Web/Desktop)

  1. Open your board.

  2. Click the View icon near the top (default is usually Kanban).

  3. Select Kanban, Table, Calendar, or Gantt.

πŸ“Œ Kanban View (default)

Kanban view organizes tasks into columns, so you can move work forward step by step. It is available on Web and Desktop only.

What you can do in Kanban

  • View tasks in clear columns and move work forward step by step

  • Drag and drop tasks between columns as priorities and progress change

  • Keep your board organized by grouping tasks into columns that match your workflow

Kanban capabilities

  • Create columns (sections): Add as many as you need to reflect your process (for example: Backlog, Doing, Waiting, Done).

  • Reorder columns: Drag and drop sections to place them in the order you prefer.

  • Add tasks inside columns: Create tasks directly within a section so everything stays sorted from the start.

New tasks are added at the bottom of the column.

  • Move tasks across columns: Drag tasks between sections to update status, priority, or ownership quickly.

Compact view in Kanban

  • Reduce spacing between tasks to scan busy boards faster.

  • To turn it on: open the board β†’ click the three-dot menu (top right) β†’ select Compact view (toggle on/off).

πŸ“‹ Table View

Table view turns your board into a structured table, so you can scan details quickly. Table view is available on Web/Desktop and a similar display is used on the mobile app.

What you can do in Table

  • See key task details in one place (assignees, due dates, and fields)

  • Sort and scan large boards faster, especially when you are managing many tasks at once

  • Update tasks directly in the table by clicking into a cell

Table capabilities

  • Reorder columns: Drag and drop columns to match the order that makes sense for you.

  • Edit in place: Click any cell to update a task without leaving the table.

  • Add fields: Click the + icon on the right side of the table to add more fields (for example: custom fields).

πŸ“‹ Gantt View

Gantt view places your board tasks on a simple timeline, so you can immediately see what starts when, how long it runs, and what is due next.

What you can do in Gantt

  • Plan work across days, weeks, or months

  • See task date ranges at a glance

  • Group tasks by section, assignee, or tag when the board gets busy

How scheduling works

  • New tasks start as 1 day

  • Drag tasks to pick dates

  • Stretch a task to make it longer (multi-day)

Timeline controls

  • The timeline shows 1 week by default (scroll to move forward or back)

  • Switch to bi-week / month / quarter

Dates and reminders

  • Duration is automatic, you set it by stretching the task (it cannot be typed in)

  • Tasks need a due date (start date only is not supported)

  • Due date reminders work normally. Start date reminders have fewer options

  • Multi-day tasks may show as all-day items in calendar areas

On mobile and in other views

  • Mobile: Gantt is not available, but the task’s full date range still appears under Dates

  • Table/Calendar: the same scheduled dates stay in sync (Table may show extra date fields)

πŸ“… Calendar View

Calendar view shows tasks on a calendar based on their dates, so you can plan work by date and quickly see what’s coming up. It is available on Web and Desktop only.

What you can do in Calendar

  • See tasks on a weekly or monthly calendar based on their due dates

  • Drag and drop tasks to quickly change dates

  • Spot busy days and upcoming deadlines at a glance

Calendar capabilities

  • Only tasks with a due date appear: Tasks without a due date will not show in Calendar view.

  • Switch week or month: Use the menu on the top left to change the calendar layout.

  • Move between months: Use the arrows in the top right to navigate forward or back.

  • Add suggested tasks: Click the lamp icon to open Suggestions on the right and add relevant unscheduled tasks to your calendar.

Viewing Weekends/Weekdays

  • The calendar display allows users to focus on weekdays only or show weekend as well.

  • To hide weekends: Open the three-dot menu and turn off weekend days.
