🗺️ Where you can set reminders from

You can add or adjust a reminder wherever you edit a task—here are the most common entry points.

  • Task view (all platforms) – open a task → Remind me to set one‑time or recurring.

  • Quick add (all platforms) – type natural language like “Pay rent next Fri 9am” to auto‑suggest a reminder. You can switch to recurring after saving.

  • Mobile only – add or edit Location under Remind me.

Note: Recurring schedules are set from the task view (not from quick add).

⏱️ Create a one‑time reminder

Perfect for single dates like meetings, appointments, or one‑off tasks.

💡 Want to keep a due date but skip the alert? Toggle the reminder off.

📱 Android & iOS

  1. Open a task → tap Remind me.

  2. Choose One‑time → set date & time → Save.

💻 Web/Desktop

  1. Open a task → click Remind me.

  2. Pick date & time → Save.

🔁 Create a recurring reminder

Ideal for routines such as medications, weekly chores, and monthly bills.

Behavior: Recurring reminders only generate the next instance after you complete the current one. Until you mark it Done, the series will not move forward.

  • Completing an occurrence early moves the schedule forward from that completion.

  • Completing the same recurring task multiple times in one day can skip upcoming occurrences (expected behavior).

📱 Android & iOS

  1. Open a task → Remind meRecurring.

  2. Choose Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly → pick times → Save.

💻 Web/Desktop

  1. Open a task → Remind meRecurring.

  2. Choose Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Yearly → set the time → Save.

🔧 Advanced recurring options (Premium, Family, Workspace)

👑 Available on Premium, Family (in Personal space), and Workspace. Unlock flexible schedules that match real life.

👉 What you can do

  • Intervals – repeat every 2 weeks, every 3 days, every 6 months, etc.

  • Weekday patterns – pick specific days (Mon–Fri) or custom day sets.

  • Monthly by date or day – e.g., 15th of every month or 1st Monday/last Friday.

  • Yearly with gaps – every year or every X years (birthdays, renewals).

  • Start & End controls – set Starts on, Ends on, or Ends after N occurrences. Leave Task never ends on to keep it going.

Quick steps (Android · iOS · Web/Desktop)

  1. Open the task → Remind meRecurring/Repeat. If a one‑time reminder exists, Delete/Clear it first.

  2. Choose Daily / Weekly / Monthly / Yearly.

  3. Set Starts on (date & time).

  4. Set Repeat every (days/weeks/months/years) and, if Weekly, choose Repeats on days.

  5. Choose how it ends: toggle Task never ends off to select Ends on (date) or Ends after (count).

  6. Save.

💡 Examples

  • Daily, every 3 days — take medication every 3 days.

  • Weekly, Mon & Thu — gym nights on set weekdays.

  • Monthly, last Friday — finance wrap‑up at month‑end.

  • Yearly, every 2 years — passport check every other year.

Note: Advanced recurring is a paid feature and isn’t included in the Free plan.

🙋 FAQs

⏳ Why do only one occurrence show in my list?

Recurring series show just the next instance. The next one is created only after you complete the current one to keep views clean and accurate.

🔔 Can I keep a due date without an alert?

Yes. Open the task → turn the reminder toggle Off. The due date stays.

📅 Can I make “first Sunday” or “every 2 weeks” reminders?

Yes with Advanced recurring on paid plans. See Premium, Family, or Workspace.

📍 Can I combine location and time‑based reminders?

No. Location is its own reminder type. Switch between Location and One‑time/Recurring as needed.

🔕 How do I stop a reminder for a while?

Open the task → clear the reminder. Or snooze from a push notification on mobile.

🔢 Can I set more than one reminder for my personal tasks?

No, multiple reminders are only available for board tasks in the Family space/Workspace.

⏳ Can I set a duration for my personal tasks?

No, at this time there is no option to set duration (start/end times) for personal tasks.
