Learn how to setup your calendar integration

Any.do's Calendar integration was specifically designed to help you best manage your busy schedule along your daily tasks. Once you set up your calendar, you will be able to view your tasks and events side by side. The calendar events will also show in the My Day view to allow you to better design your day and make room for important tasks.

Availability:

The following user-types can take advantage of this feature:

  • Personal users (free).

  • Premium users.

  • Family users.

  • Teams users.

The feature is available on both our mobile and web/desktop apps.


🛠️​ How does it work?

  • Any.do’s Calendar View will display your calendar events and to dos side by side.

  • You can set up the calendar by simply allowing the app to access your device’s calendar permissions.

  • You may select your preferred spread for viewing (agenda/ weekly/ 3 days or a single day).

  • On desktop/ web, you can connect your Outlook and Google calendars directly through the app and view the current day’s events under My Day as well.

  • View full event details by clicking on an item.

  • You can select which calendars you would like to view in your spreads.

  • You can enable calendar notifications to get them directly from your browser

Note: Any.do offers a calendar integration that connects calendar clients such as Gmail and Outlook to the app. Any.do does not offer an independent calendar and the calendar views can only be used with an integrated calendar client.


⚙️ To set up your calendar integration

📅 To integrate your Google Calendar

📱 Android/ iOS

  1. Click the home button.

  2. Select the Calendar View (bottom right of your screen).

  3. Select "ADD MY CALENDAR".

  4. Select "Allow" to give Any.do access to your device's native calendar.

  5. Your device's native calendar will now appear in your Calendar View.

💻 Web/ Windows/ Mac

  1. Open My Calendar from the left menu.

  2. Press the blue “Connect” option.

  3. Select connect with google

Or

  1. Open the settings menu from the top left settings icon/ profile image next to your profile name.

  2. Click on “Calendars”.

  3. Press “Connect”.

  4. Select connect with google


🌐 To integrate your Outlook Calendar

📱 Android/ iOS

  1. Click the home button.

  2. Select the Calendar View (bottom right of your screen).

  3. Select "ADD MY CALENDAR".

  4. Select "Allow" to give Any.do access to your device's native calendar.

  5. Your device's native calendar will now appear in your Calendar View.

Outlook users: Make sure to add your account via Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync. OnePlus users or users who do not have this option can add their account via the Gmail app (Settings - Add Account - Exchange and Office 365).

💻 Web/ Windows/ Mac

  1. Open My Calendar from the left menu.

  2. Press the blue “Connect” option.

  3. Select connect with Outlook

Or

  1. Open the settings menu from the top left settings icon/ profile image next to your profile name.

  2. Click on “Calendars”.

  3. Press “Connect”.

  4. Select connect with Outlook


🍏 integrate Apple/additional calendars with Any.do

📱 iOS / Android

  1. Enter your device’s Settings – Calendar -> Accounts

  2. Add your calendar’s credentials.

  3. Ensure this calendar is made visible in your Calendar View.

💻 Web/ Windows/ Mac

The web app allows you to integrate one Outlook calendar and one Google calendar. In order to view other calendars in the web version you can subscribe to them from your Google\Outlook account settings - whether these are more Google/Outlook calendars or even external calendar clients (such as Apple's).

To learn how to subscribe to other calendars from your integrated Google Calendar:

  1. On your computer, open Google Calendar.

  2. On the left, next to “Other calendars,” click 'Add' Subscribe to calendar.

  3. In the “Add calendar” box, enter the email address, or select one from the list.

  4. Press 'Enter'.

After you subscribe to your other calendars you will see them under your Google account in the “Other Calendar” section and be able to view them in Any.do.

To learn how to subscribe to other calendars from your integrated Outlook Calendar:

  1. Select Calendar.

  2. In the navigation pane, select Add calendar.

  3. Select Subscribe from web.

  4. Enter the url.

  5. Select Import.

After you subscribe to your other calendars you will see them under your Outlook account in the “Other Calendar” section and be able to view them in Any.do.

If you wish to subscribe to an Apple calendar, please see the following instructions to get a public link:

Firstly you will need to get the public URL of the calendar.

  1. Open the iOS calendar.

  2. Click on the “Calendar” icon.

  3. Under the iCloud calendar section, click on the Info button (i) to the right of the calendar you’d like to make available in Google Calendar.

  4. Enable “Public Calendar”.

  5. Click on the “Share Link”.

Once you have your link, see the above instructions to subscribe to that calendar from your Outlook or Google account.


🔆 Viewing Calendar events in My Day

📱 iOS/ Android (coming soon)

  1. Go to the My Day view

  2. Open the arrow next to the My Day.

  3. Press connect calendar.

💻 Web/ Mac/ Windows

  1. Open My Day view from the left menu.

  2. Press the blue “Connect” option OR open the suggestion menu from the right-side panel, press on the Events tab and connect from there.

  3. From there you can access the Calendar events.

🤳 To join a Zoom/ Google Meet video call from an event link

💻 Web / Windows/ Mac

  1. Open an event that has a video call link from the calendar.

  2. Choose "Join by video" or "Join by phone" option.

📱 Android/ iOS

  1. Open an event that has a video call link from the Calendar view.

  2. Tap on the link to join.

💡 You can add video call links to events on the mobile app:

  1. Open an event

  2. Tap on edit.

  3. In the notes section add the video call link.

  4. Save the event.


⬇️ To drag and drop calendar items

💻 Web/ Mac/ Windows

  1. Open 'My Calendar' from your left-side panel.

  2. You can drag and drop tasks or events to the time and date you want.


➕ To add tasks from the suggestions menu

💻 Web/ Mac/ Windows

  1. Open 'My Calendar' from your left-side panel.

  2. Open the suggestion menu (light bulb icon) from the right.

  3. Drag and drop tasks to the date and time on the calendar.

💡Note: you can search for a specific task from the search inside the suggestion menu.


⚙️ General Calendar Settings

📆 To set a default calendar for all events

📱 Android

  1. Go to your app settings.

  2. Tap on "Default Calendar" under "Calendar".

  3. Select which calendar new events will be automatically assigned to.


👀 To manage visible calendars

💻 Web/ Windows/ Mac

  1. Open the settings menu from the top left settings icon/ profile image next to your profile name.

  2. Click on “Calendars”.

  3. Change events you want to see as “on” and ones you don’t as “off”.

📱 Android/ iOS

  1. Open the Calendars Menu by clicking on the 3 lines icon on the top left corner of the screen.

  2. Check off whichever calendars you want Any.do’s Calendar View to include. You can change this back at any point in time.


🎨 To modify calendar colors

📱 Android

  1. Open your native calendar app.

  2. Open the calendars menu.

  3. Under settings, choose 'manage calendar colors' and select your preferences.

Note: Depending on device type, settings may vary.

📱 iOS

  1. Open your native calendar app.

  2. Open the calendars menu.

  3. Tap the 'i' icon next to each calendar to modify its color.

⛱️ Disable/enable weekends

💻 Web/ Windows/ Mac

  1. Open the calendar view.

  2. Click on the horizontal 3-dot menu.

  3. Toggle weekends ON or OFF.


🔔 To enable calendar notifications

📱 Android/iOS

  1. As long as your app notifications are turned on, you will be able to receive calendar notifications.

💻 Web/ Windows/ Mac

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Set ‘Event Reminders’ or ‘Desktop Notifications’ to ON / OFF.


🔄 Forcing Manual Sync

📱 Android/ iOS

Any.do's Calendar Integration syncs your device's calendar accounts to and from the app. The sync is not in real-time and depends on the native calendar sync process as well. You can even share these calendars with others if you wish.

  1. Head to your Full Task view.

  2. Select the 3 dot icon on the top right corner.

  3. Select the spinning arrows icon.

  4. Also opening the native calendar app will help the sync.

💻 Web/ Windows/ Mac

  1. Open 'My Calendar' from your left-side panel.

  2. Click the sync icon from the action-menu on the top right corner of your calendar screen.


🛑 To disable/reset calendar permissions

📱 Android

  1. Open your device Settings.

  2. Navigate to “Apps and Notifications”.

  3. Press “App info” and then “Any.do”.

  4. Press “Permissions” and disable the calendar permission.

📱 iOS

  1. Open your device Settings.

  2. Press “Any.do”

  3. Disable the calendar permission.

💻 Web/ Mac/ Windows

  1. Open setting

  2. Open Calendar settings

  3. From there you can disable access the Calendar events.
