Getting Started with the Calendar Integration

Connect Google, Outlook, or Apple calendars to Any.do to manage all your events and tasks in one place.

Updated in the last hour

Any.do’s Calendar View makes it easy to see all of your tasks and calendar events together in one place. Instead of jumping between different apps, you can connect your existing calendars - like Google, Outlook, or iCloud - and manage your full schedule right from Any.do.

This guide will walk you through how the calendar integration works, how to connect your calendars on each platform, how to share calendars with others, and what to do if things stop syncing. No tech skills needed - just follow the steps!

✅ Who Can Use This Feature?

  • Free and Premium: Full access to the Calendar View and all integration features

  • Family & Workspace: Can view both personal tasks and board tasks in the Calendar View

📱 Supported on: Android, iOS, Web, Mac, and Windows

🗓️ How the Calendar Integration Works

Any.do’s Calendar View works by mirroring events from your existing calendar clients. It is not a standalone (independent) calendar:

  • Mobile (Android & iOS): Mirrors events from your device’s native calendar apps

  • Web & Desktop: Directly integrates with one Google, Outlook, or iCloud account

  • The integration must be set up separately on each device you use in order for you to see the same calendar on all of your devices.

📱 How to Integrate Your Calendar on Mobile

🤖 Android

  1. Open the Calendar View.

  2. Tap Add My Calendar and grant permissions.

  3. Any.do will mirror events from your Google Calendar.

➕ Subscribing to Additional Calendars on Web/Desktop

To view more calendars (such as shared Apple calendars or other calendar clients) on the web, you’ll need to subscribe to those calendars via your connected Google or Outlook account.

  2. Tap the Calendar icon and select the calendar you want to share.

  3. Tap the “i” icon → Enable Public Calendar → Copy the Share Link.

👥 Sharing Calendars with Other Users

While Any.do doesn’t offer direct in-app calendar sharing, you can still view the same events across accounts by sharing your native calendars.

Here’s how to make it work for Family or Workspace members:

🤝 Option 1: Use the Same Shared Calendar

If everyone connects the same calendar (e.g. a shared Google Calendar), events will be visible to all users in their Any.do apps.

  • Set up the same calendar on each member’s Google/Outlook/iCloud account

  • Integrate that calendar into Any.do on each device according to the steps above.

🔗 Option 2: Share Calendar Links Between Users

If each person uses their own calendar, they can subscribe to each other’s calendars using public links.

To share your calendar:

  • Google Calendar:

Open calendar settings → “Settings and sharing” → Add people or create a public link

  • iCloud Calendar:

Open Calendar → Tap “i” icon → Enable “Public Calendar” → Copy link

  • Outlook Calendar:

Go to Calendar → Share Calendar → Choose access level and recipient

Send the share link to the other user and have them subscribe via Google or Outlook, as shown above.

🙋 FAQs

🔁 Why aren’t the same events showing across all my devices?

Each device requires an individual integration. Be sure you’ve connected the same calendar account on both mobile and desktop. If there's still any issue, please contact our Support Team.

🆚 Why do mobile and desktop show different calendars?

  • Mobile syncs with your device’s calendar

  • Web/Desktop uses direct account integration

Check your calendar account sources on each platform in order to ensure that you have integrated the correct calendar to each of your devices (separately).

🍏 Can I connect my Apple Calendar to the web app?

Absolutely. Just go to Settings => Calendars and follow the steps. Make sure to generate your app-specific password for your Apple ID first, as detailed here.

🛑 Can I use the calendar without integrating a calendar account?

No. Any.do's calendar integration requires you to integrate an external calendar-client in order to use the Calendar View and add/manage events.

😱 Why am I seeing duplicate or spam events?

You likely have multiple calendars enabled. Go to Visible Calendars and uncheck unnecessary ones.

If spam events appear, check your native calendar app - Any.do does not add events on its own.

✅ Is the calendar integration free?

Yes! The calendar integration is 100% free and available on all plans.

⚠️ Why do I see 'integrate your calendar' notification in the web app?

If you have not integrated a calendar to the web app, this notification will show up when logging in to suggest integrating a calendar. You may easily dismiss it by clicking the 'X' icon.
