⚙️ Integration and Settings

🤔 What is the calendar integration?

Any.do's calendar is a powerful tool designed to boost productivity by integrating and managing your schedules in one place. Any.do offers seamless integration with various calendar clients such as Google, iCloud, and Outlook. After completing the integration process, Any.do's Calendar View will mirror events from your native calendar client (meaning Any.do’s calendar is not an independent calendar but relies on external clients).

🔗 How do I integrate my calendar?

Depending on the platform you’re working with, you may find step by step instructions on how to integrate your calendar(s) to Any.do here.

Note: The integration process must be applied separately on each of your devices in order for events to sync across all platforms.

🧐 I integrated my calendar but can't see the same events on all platforms

No worries! This probably means you didn't integrate the same calendar on each of your devices. Be advised that each device you use the app on, will need to be set up with its own calendar integration in order to display the same events on all platforms. Just go through the steps here to connect your calendar to all of your devices.

👤 How do I integrate my Outlook work calendar (business account)?

Some work Outlook accounts need to get permission from the admin of the outlook account for approval (Admin consent for OAUTH applications). Not at all! The calendar integration does not require any use of Zapier in order to integrate. All you need to do is add your preferred calendar client per the details above and all events will show up in the app.

Granting contacts permissions in order to integrate your calendar(s) is required for seeing shared events properly. It is also required in order to add invitees and add/remove members to your events. Any.do only uses the permissions for the calendar’s functionality and does not save any of these records on our servers.

🔀 How do I change calendars/ reset permissions?

All you need to do to switch calendars or reset your calendars is disable the permissions and then log out and back to the app, as detailed here. Once permissions are disabled, the calendar view will ‘reset’ and you will be able to integrate a different calendar.

Just go through the steps here to connect your calendar to all of your devices.

📩 How do I invite others to an event?

Open the event menu and add 'Invitees' as detailed here. The invite notification will be sent by the native calendar provider and not via Any.do. Events are only mirrored in the app as Any.do doesn't have an independent calendar. The only notification for events you will get is for when they are due.

🤔 Why am I not getting calendar invites to the app?

✍️ Why can I edit certain events but others not?

Editing an event depends on the permissions on the associated calendar or event, for example if someone else invited you to the event or the calendar is read only.

✏️ Why can’t I edit/ delete events in my Android app?

If you’re experiencing issues editing or deleting your events using the Android app, it may be due to an improper setup of your calendar(s). In order to fix this, please go to your native device’s calendar app => Manage Calendars => Uncheck and recheck your preferred calendars. Then, go to Any.do => Calendar Tab => Uncheck and recheck your preferred calendars from the menu on the top left corner. Make sure you’re checking the same calendars as in the native app. Then, close and reopen the app. You should now be able to edit and delete events properly. For further assistance, reach out to our team.

😱 Why is Any.do adding spam to my calendar?

Any.do does not add events on users behalf, nor does it allow for any 3rd party ads. If you’re seeing spam events after integrating your calendar, it is probably because you have an event on your native calendar which was added externally. We recommend simply accessing your native calendar client to check the origin of this event and remove it accordingly.

✅ Why can't I add tasks through the calendar view on mobile?

At this time, the mobile apps do not offer adding events straight through the calendar view. You can add tasks from the list/board views, and if they are added with a due date you will be able to see them in your calendar view. That said you can still edit tasks from the calendar view.
