Enable Any.do’s Gmail integration via the GSuite Marketplace from any desktop device, and it will appear right in your inbox (on both desktop and mobile). Just open any of your email-threads to add your tasks
The Gmail add-on for personal lists is free for all users. Workspace and Family members can also add tasks to their boards.
⬇️ How to install the Gmail add-on
To install the add-on, simply go to the GSuite Marketplace and choose to add Any.do to your Gmail account. Make sure to do this from a desktop browser (after which the add-on will be added to the mobile Gmail app as well).
✅ Adding tasks through the Gmail add-on
Every email in your inbox can be created as a tasks in your Any.do account. Within the Gmail add-on, users can choose to which list or board tasks would be added. When you create a personal-task, it will also include a direct link to the email thread.
Additionally, you can opt to add notes to your tasks by simply adding details under the Notes section in the add-on menu:

Click on an email to open it and a screen will open up displaying your email's subject as your task's title. You can edit this title to your liking.
Choose the due date Today/ Tomorrow/ In 7 Days/ Someday. This will add the task under the designated time category, however be advised that it will not create a reminder.
Choose the list.
Click the 'Create a task' button to add it to your Any.do account.
Note: A link to the specific email you're working on will be added automatically in the Notes section. You can remove it if required and/or add other details.

If you no longer wish to have the Any.do add-on connected to your Gmail inbox, just go to My Apps in the GSuite Marketplace, locate and click on Any.do and choose to Uninstall.

No, the integration focuses on creating tasks and does not currently support file-attachments.

Only personal tasks will contain the link to the original email as boards are often shared and the email-link is only available to the original inbox-owner. As such, we do not add these links to board-tasks but you can copy-paste them from the initial set up before changing the designated location to a specific board.
