Managing Events (Event Menu)
What is it?
The Event Menu allows users to easily edit and manage all the events showing on the Calendar View. Editing the event can be done from the mobile app calendar view only and is a part of the personal space.
Who can access?
- Both Premium and Free users can take advantage of this feature!
- Editing events is currently supported on the Mobile apps only.
- Platforms:
- The calendar events will also show in the My Day view on Android, iOS, Web and Desktop (Mac\Windows).
How does it work?
- Events can be created via Any.do, or synced from your device’s native calendar app.
- The Event Menu can be opened from the Calendar View, by tapping on an existing event. On mobile, it will also open when creating a new event.
- The event properties users can manage include: name, time, location, recurrence, invitees, alarm, notes, assigned calendar, and duration.
- On mobile, event properties can be edited, and will sync back to your native calendar app.
- On desktop, the Event Menu is displayed in read-only mode, showing the existing event properties.
To add, edit and delete an event
After setting up your calendar(s) permissions you will be able to select your preferred Calendar View.
To add an event:

- From the home menu, tap on your Calendar View
(right bottom of the menu).
- Tap
from the bottom right corner.
- Add your event information and select ‘Save’ on the top right corner of your screen.
- Your event will be added and synced to your device’s native calendar.
✔️ iOS
- From the home menu, tap on your Calendar View
(right bottom of the menu).
- Enter the event title in the bottom input.
- Add your event information and select ‘Save’ on the top right corner of your screen.
- Your event will be added and synced to your device’s native calendar.
The Event can be set to repeat (every day / week / 2 weeks / month / year), by selecting the desired frequency under the “Repeat” option.

To edit an existing event:
- Tap on the event title from your Calendar View.
- Tap on ‘Edit’ on the top right corner of the Event Menu.
- Tap ‘Save’ at the top right corner of the Event Menu, to save any changes.
Please note that some settings, such as the preferred calendar, cannot be edited once the event has been created. These can only be set when creating the event.

To delete an event:
- Tap on the event title from your Calendar View.
- Tap on ‘Edit’ on the top right corner of the Event Menu.
- At the bottom of the Event Menu tap on ‘Delete Event’.
To set the duration and notification for an event

To set the duration of an event:
- Tap on the event title, or create a new event to open the Event Menu
- Under ‘Event Time’ tap on the date on the left side to set the due date, tap on the time on the right side to set the due time. To set an all day event, toggle the button next to “All Day Event”.
To set a Notification for an event:
- Tap on the event title, or create a new event to open the Event Menu.
- Under ‘Alarm’ set the desired Notification for this event. To add multiple alarms tap on “Add another alarm”.
- Tap ‘Save’ at the top right corner of the Event Menu.
To add a location, invitees and notes to an event

To add a location:
- Tap on the event title, or create a new event to open the Event Menu.
- Tap on ‘Location’ and type in the relevant address, and tap ‘Done’ to save any changes.
- To remove the location, tap on ‘Clear’ at the bottom right corner.
To add invitees:
- Tap on the event title, or create a new event to open the Event Menu
- Under ‘Invitees’, tap on the person icon “+ Add Invitee”.
- Type in the contact’s email address, and tap “enter” on your keyboard.
- Tap on ‘Done’ to save any changes.
An invitation will be sent to the contact’s email for confirmation.
To add notes:
- Tap on the event title, or create a new event to open the Event Menu
- Scroll down to ‘Notes’ and tap on ‘Tap to add notes’. Type in your note.
- Tap on ‘Done’ to save any changes.

✔️ Web, Windows and Mac
Today’s calendar events will also show in the My Day view on the desktop apps.
At this time, the Event Menu on the desktop apps, is available in read-only mode. When clicking on an existing event, all of its available properties will be displayed: the name or title, the due date and time, a location if available, any invitees along with their rsvp status, additional notes and more.
