Effortlessly organize tasks with customizable lists

Lists are at the core of good organization and crucial for grouping tasks to successfully execute a project or plan. With Any.do you can easily organize your to-dos by adding as many lists as you want and modifying them to your preference.

Availability:

The following user-types can take advantage of this feature:

  • Personal users (free).

  • Premium users.

  • Family users.

  • Teams users.

The feature is available on both our mobile and web/desktop apps.


πŸ› οΈ How does it work?

  • You can reorganize your lists from under the navigation screen, as well as sort them by List/ Time, and export or print them individually.

  • You can also choose a "Default List" to determine under which list new tasks will be added automatically.


βž• To add a list

πŸ“±To add a list on Android/ iOS

  1. Tap the Home button from the top left corner of any of your views.

  2. Tap on the plus button at the bottom of the 'Lists' section.

  3. Fill in the title and tap on "Done" to save.

πŸ’» To add a list on Web/ Desktop

  1. Open the navigation pane, tap on the plus button next to the 'My Lists' section.

  2. Fill in the title and tap on "Create" to save.


✏️ To edit a list title

  1. Tap the Home button from the top left corner of any of your views.

  2. Tap on a list to open its full view.

  3. Tap the list's title at the top of the screen, or tap the 3 dots menu and choose "Rename".

  4. Edit the title and tap "Done" to save.

  1. Open the navigation pane and select the list you wish to rename.

  2. From the list's view place your cursor on the title.

  3. Edit the title and click "Save".

  1. Open the list.

  2. Click on the three dots menu next to the title.

  3. Select "Convert to board".

πŸ’‘ Note: You can convert Smart Grocery lists into Boards as well.

  1. Tap the Home button from the top left corner of any of your views.

  2. Long press on the relevant list, and drag and drop it in the desired order.

  3. Release to save.

πŸ’» To reorder lists on Web/ Desktop

  1. Drag and drop the list from the left menu in the desired order.

  1. From your Tasks View tap the three dots icon.

  2. Tap "Sort".

  3. Choose Timeline or List.

πŸ’» To change a list sorting/ view on Web/ Desktop

  1. Open the "view" menu.

  2. Select from " Task details" to "Show" or "Hide" them.

  3. Select sorting by "Time" or "List".


βš™οΈ To alter the default list

  1. Go to your Any.do app Settings.

  2. Tap on "Default List".

  3. Select the desired list you want as your default.


βž– To minimize categories

To minimize categories on Android/ iOS/ Web/ Desktop

  • Press on the category you want to minimize. Minimized categories will display how many tasks are contained within them.


❌ To delete a list

πŸ“± To delete a personal list on Android/ iOS

  1. Tap the Home button from the top left corner of any of your views.

  2. Tap on a list to open its full view.

  3. Tap the three dots menu and choose "Delete" and confirm. This applies to standard lists only.

Note: After the deletion is confirmed, the list and all associated tasks will be removed immediately. There is no option to restore a deleted list.

πŸ’» To delete a personal list on Web/ Desktop

  1. Click on the three-dot icon next to your list's title.

  2. Choose 'Archive' and click 'Yes' in the confirmation screen.

  3. The list will be archived and all associated tasks will move to the Archived Tasks folder in your account's settings.

Note: After the deletion is confirmed, the list and all associated tasks will be removed immediately. There is no option to restore a deleted list.
