Lists Management
What is it?
Lists are at the core of good organization and crucial for grouping tasks to successfully execute a project or plan. With Any.do you can easily organize your to-dos by adding as many lists as you want and modifying them to your preference.
Who can access?
- Both Premium and Free users can take advantage of this feature!
- Users are able to create as many lists as they want and edit/ delete as needed.
How does it work?
- You can reorganize your lists from under the navigation screen, as well as sort them by List/ Time, and export or print them individually.
- Lists can also be shared with others to collaborate towards specific goals.
- You can also choose a “Default List” to determine under which list new tasks will be added automatically.
To add a list
✔️ Android/ iOS
- Open the navigation pane from the top left corner of your Task View.
- Tap on the
button next to the ‘Lists’ section.
- Fill in the title and tap on “Create” to save.
✔️ Web/ Windows/ Mac
- Open the navigation pane, tap on the
button next to the ‘Lists’ section.
- Fill in the title and tap on “Create” to save.
To edit a list title
✔️ Android/ iOS:
- Open the navigation pane from the top left corner of your Task View.
- Tap on a list to open its full view.
- Tap the list’s title at the top of the screen, or tap
and choose “Edit list name”.
- Edit the title and tap “Done” to save.
✔️ Web/ Windows/ Mac
- Click on the
icon next to the ‘Lists’ section, on the navigation pane.
- Click on the
icon next to the list you would like to edit.
- Edit the title and click “Save”.
To reorder lists
✔️ Android/ iOS
- Open the navigation pane from the top left corner of your Task View.
- Long press on the relevant list, and drag and drop it in the desired order.
- Release to save.
✔️ Web/ Windows/ Mac
- Click on the
icon next to the ‘Lists’ section, on the navigation pane.
- Long press on the 6 dots icon
next to the relevant list, and drag and drop it in the desired order.
- Click on the check mark icon on top, to save.
To change a list sorting/ view
✔️ Android/ iOS
- From your Tasks View tap the
icon.
- Under Sort By choose Timeline or List.
✔️ Web/ Windows/ Mac
- From your Tasks View tap the
icon.
- Under Sort By choose Timeline or List.
- You may also switch between Multi-Column and Single-Column.
To alter the default list
✔️ Android/ iOS/ Web/ Windows/ Mac
- Go to your Any.do app Settings.
- Tap on “Default List”.
- Select the desired list you want as your default.
Please note that a default list cannot be set under an Alexa list or a Smart Grocery list.
To minimize categories
✔️ Android/ iOS/ Web/ Windows/ Mac
- Press on the category you want to minimize. Minimized categories will display how many tasks are contained within them.
To delete a list
✔️ Android/ iOS
- Open the navigation pane from the top left corner of your Task View.
- Tap on a list to open its full view.
- Tap
and choose “Delete list” and confirm. This applies to standard lists only.
The list and all associated tasks will be removed immediately.
✔️ Web/ Windows/ Mac
- Click on the
icon next to the ‘Lists’ section, on the navigation pane.
- Click on the
icon next to the list you would like to edit.
- Edit the title and click “Delete”.
The list and all associated tasks will be removed immediately.
To delete an Alexa lists
✔️ Android/ iOS
Alexa lists cannot be removed like standard lists. To remove them, please follow these steps:
- Go to your Any.do Settings => Integrations => Alexa.
- Disable your preferred list to remove it from syncing with Any.do and have all items removed.
You may always choose to re-add the list per the details above.
Note: Alexa lists can only be removed via the mobile apps at this time.
