Managing Workspace Tasks

What is it?

The Workspace Tasks have everything you need in order to document a task so you can easily collaborate with your team or simply track for progress. No matter how complex any of your action items are, you will be able to add all needed context through various features such as: Notes, Assignees, Due Dates, Checklists and more.

Who has access?

How does it work?

  • You can add workspace tasks to each and every one of your board sections
  • Tasks can be edited by all active members
  • Tasks can be easily moved through different board sections
  • Tasks can be archived when no longer relevant
  • If needed there is an option to duplicate tasks

How to create a new task

✔️ Web/ Windows/ Mac

  1. Open a specific board from the left menu.
  2. Under each section press “+ Add tasks”.
  3. Type in the title of the task.
  4. Press “Add”.

You can also add a dues date\ assignee\ tag from the icons above the input.

✔️ Android/ iOS

To add a task to a specific section.

  1. Open a specific board from the home menu 
  2. Press the gray + icon next to the section title.
  3. Type in the title and press done\enter.

To add a task to the first section:

  1. Open a specific board from the home menu 
  2. On the bottom type in the title where you see “I want to..”.
  3. Type in the title and press done\enter.

How to edit or archive a task

✔️ Web/ Windows/ Mac

You can either:

  1. Open the task to edit it, or press this icon to archive it OR
  2. Press the 3 dot menu next to the task titleand edit the task or to archive click on Archive.

✔️ Android/ iOS

  1. Open the task to edit it
  2. Tap on the 3 dots menuon the top left side
  3. Tap on Archive task.

How to duplicate a task

✔️ Web/ Windows/ Mac

  1. Press the 3 dot menu next to the task titleto see quick actions.
  2. Click on “Duplicate” and the task will duplicate along with checklist items and notes.

Note: this option is currently on the web and desktop platforms.


How to move a task to a different section

✔️ Web/ Windows/ Mac/ Android/ iOS

You can either:

  1. Drag and drop it to a different section OR
  2. Open the task and tap on this icon to change sections.

How to use quick actions

✔️ Web/ Windows/ Mac

Press the 3 dot menu next to the task titleto see quick actions.

Note: At this time the quick actions are available on web only.


How to add a task to My Day

✔️ Web/ Windows/ Mac

You can either:

  1. Open the task and press this icon to add it to My Day OR
  2. Press the 3 dot menu next to the task titleand click on add to My Day OR
  3. Open My Day view from the left menu and add a task directly from there.

✔️ Android/ iOS

You can either:

  1. Open the task and Tap on Add to My Day with this iconOR
  2. Open My Day view from the home menu the bottom left option and add a task directly from there.
