Do you find yourself overwhelmed by having to manage various action items throughout multiple platforms? Are you missing out on important tasks while having to search through so many directories? If you do, we feel you. And that's exactly why we let our users import their action items from popular external platform straight into Any.do. There's no need to give into the clutter. If you’re new to Any.do and already have some data laying around, you can quickly add it to your Any.do account instead of starting from scratch.

πŸ› οΈ How does it work?

  • You can easily import tasks to any of your lists by from external services and spreadsheets/notes.

  • Both mobile and desktop apps offer the option to copy-paste tasks straight to your lists from any other apps/ web pages/ notes/ e-books and others.

  • You may import a single item through this feature or even bulk-add several items at once.

  • Teams users and Family users (admins and members) can import items from the following external service straight to your boards:

    • Trello

    • Asana

    • ClickUp

    • Monday

    • Todoist

  • Importing from external services is a one-time protocol that imports all current items only

  • Importing from external services will not sync back items to those services

Note: The copy paste feature is available for personal lists only. It cannot be used to import to your workspace boards.

Note: These external imports are available for the boards only and done via the web/desktop app. They cannot be used for private lists (Free/Premium users).

πŸ“± Android/ iOS

  1. Copy a list of tasks to your clipboard

  2. Enter a list's task view.

  3. Press the three dots icon on the top right of the screen.

  4. Tap on "Import"

  5. Press "Paste from clipboard" and check/uncheck the items you want to import.

πŸ’» Web/ Desktop

  1. Open the settings menu from the top left profile image\icon.

  2. Click on the 'Import to Any.do' button.

  3. Go to any external list of tasks you would like to import, mark all of them and copy (command + c / control + c / right-click on your mouse and choose the copy option).

  4. Go back to the Any.do web page and paste the items (command + v / control + v / right-click on your mouse and choose the past option).

  5. If you would like to remove any of the tasks you are going to import, click on the plus sign next to that item.

  6. Click on 'Add Tasks' to complete the import.

Or

  1. Click on the input area of a task/ subtask.

  2. Paste one item or multiple items at once.

πŸ’‘ Note: You can select to paste multiple items at once, paste a list of items and click on "Add X tasks".


❌ To delete imported items

Deleting an imported task is the same as deleting any other task to learn more see the Completing + Archiving tasks page.

  1. Open the settings menu from the top left profile image\icon.

  2. Click "Import to Any.do".

  3. On the bottom select the list you want it to be imported to.

  4. Click on "Trello".

  5. A pop up page will open to login to your Trello account.

Note: These imports are available for Workspace (Teams) and Family users only. They cannot be used for private lists (Free/ Premium users).

  3. Select from "Clipboard".

  4. Paste.

  5. On the top select space/ board/ section.

Or

  1. Click on the input area of a board task/ checklist item.

  2. Paste one item or multiple items at once.
