Any.do for Slack is the perfect integration for in-context chat and collaboration. For those who use Slack daily, integrating it with your Workspace account will make life that much easier by being able to update tasks straight from Slack. With this integration you can effortlessly plan your day, create new tasks and chat about existing tasks - all without leaving Slack!

Availability:

  • Teams users - admins & members.

  • Family users - admins & members.


🛠️ How does it work?

  • You can instantly create tasks from Slack conversations using the message quick-actions.

  • You can ‘reply in thread’ to any tagged items from any of your boards.

  • The daily digest will be sent each morning

  • Plan your day through My Day without leaving Slack

  • Get real-time updates regarding tasks and activities.


🆗 How to Enable the Slack integration

Integrate from Any.do:

  1. Click on the your image\settings icon on the top left.

  2. Open "Integrations".

  3. Click on "Slack".

  4. Click on "Allow" in the pop up screen.

Integrate from an external link:

  1. Click on this Link.

  2. Click on "Allow" in the pop up screen.

  3. Sign into your Any.do workspace account.


✅ How to create tasks from Slack

From your Slack home page:

  1. Click on the home section on the top of the Any.do app integration in Slack.

  2. Click on "Create a new task".

From Slack's shortcuts:

  1. Click on the "More actions" option on the 3 dots option next to the slack message.

  2. Click on "more message shortcuts".

  3. Scroll down to "Create a task" Any.do and click on it to add it as a shortcut.

  4. Once the shortcut has been added you can use it by clicking on the "More actions" option and click on the "Create a task".


💬 How to reply in-thread

  1. Click on the messages section on the top of the Any.do app integration in Slack.

  2. Reply to a thread with this icon 💬.

  3. And the reply will be added to the task activity in Any.do.


🗣️ How to subscribe a channel to board activity updates

  1. Open the channel you want to subscribe to the board activity updates.

  2. type in "/" and a menu will pop up continue to type in "anydo subscribe".

  3. Chose the board you want to get activity updates from.

  4. Click on "Confirm".


🔆 How to use My Day from Slack

To check and uncheck your My Day tasks from Slack:

  1. Click on the home section on the top of the Any.do app integration in Slack.

  2. Check and uncheck your tasks from My Day and it will update in Any.do as well.

To add a task to My Day from Slack:

From shortcuts:

  1. Click on the "More actions" option on the 3 dots option next to the slack message.

  2. Click on "more message shortcuts".

  3. Scroll down to "Add to My Day" Any.do and click on it to add it as a shortcut.

  4. Once the shortcut has been added you can use it by clicking on the "More actions" option and click on the "Add to My Day".

From home page:

  1. Click on the home section on the top of the Any.do app integration in Slack.

  2. Press "Show suggestions"

  3. From "Today's Suggestions" click on add to "My Day".

⚙️ To customize the daily digest:

  1. Click on the home section on the top of the Any.do app integration in Slack.

  2. Select settings.

  3. Select the time and days you would like to get an update of what you completed from My Day the day before.


❌ How to Disable the Slack integration

  1. Click on the "about" section on the top of the Any.do app integration in Slack.

  2. Click on "Configurations" on the left.

  3. Click on "Remove app".

Note: By disabling the slack integrations you will remove Any.do from your entire shared slack workspace and will disconnect all members of your slack team from using it.
