Web and Desktop Navigation

What is it?

Any.do helps you stay focused and productive both on mobile and desktop! The app’s desktop navigation options provide easy access to an overview of all tasks, lists, tags and calendar items, as well as designated shortcuts for filtering tasks by specific time periods. These basic filtering and different view options, allow users to remain efficient throughout their day, by easily seeing exactly what they need. 

Who has access?

  • Both Premium and Free users can take advantage of this feature!

How does it work?

  • The navigation panel can be found on the left side of the screen. Minimize or maximize the Navigation pane using the pin icon .
  • From the Navigation panel, users can switch between the Calendar View and the Task View, by selecting any of the view options- Shortcuts, Lists, Smart Grocery Lists and Tags
  • You may find further sorting and filtering options, easily share or export a list, and use the Bulk editing option to manage your tasks- once a preferred list view is selected.
  • Under the Shortcuts, you may find designated spreads of upcoming items per specific time-periods.
  • When selecting the Calendar View, users will be able to select their preferred visible calendars. 

Navigating between the Calendar, Shortcuts, Lists and Tags views

  1. Open the Navigation pane on the left side of the screen
  2. Tap on the name of the calendar/shortcut/ list/ tag you would like to view.
  3. To switch the View, go to the Navigation pane and choose any other view.

To change viewing settings (single/multi-column)

  1. Click on the menu next to the list’s title. 
  2. Next to “View” tap on “Multi-column” or “Single-column” .

The Single-column option will display the Task Menu of the marked task. The Multi-column option will display the relevant lists’ titles when “Sort by” shows “List”, and the time categories (Today, Tomorrow…) when “Sort by” shows “Time”. To change tasks sorting (Time/List)

  1. Click on the menu next to the list’s title. 
  2. To sort by time, toggle “Sort by” between “Time” or “List” .

The Single-column option will display the Task Menu of the marked task. The Multi-column option will display the relevant lists’ titles when “Sort by” shows “List”, and the time categories (Today, Tomorrow…) when “Sort by” shows “Time”. To add a new list/ tag

  1. Open the Navigation pane.
  2. Click on the icon next to the list/ tag name.
  3. Fill in the title and tap on “Create” to save. 

To reorder lists

✔️ Web, Windows and Mac

  1. Open the Navigation pane.
  2. Click on the icon next to the ‘Lists’ section.
  3. Click and hold the icon next to the list, and drag it to the desired order.
  4. Click on the blue “V” button to save.

To edit a list's / tag's title

✔️ Web, Windows and Mac

  1. Open the Navigation pane.
  2. Click on the icon next to the list/ tag section.
  3. Click on the  icon next to the title you would like to edit.
  4. Edit the title and click “Save”.

To select visible calendars

✔️ Web, Windows and Mac

  1. Open the Navigation pane.
  2. Click on the crop-down menu next to the ‘Calendar’ to see the available calendars .
  3. Check and uncheck your preferred calendars to display events in the Calendar View.
